Set yourself up for success

Life is crazy busy -  kids to take care of, long hours at work. Trying to fit everything in on a single day feels like an impossible task sometimes! A lot of time our health and well-being is last on the list of things to take care of. 

 

Personally for me, trying to fit in healthy meals throughout the week can be tough, and maybe you can relate. Maybe you have early mornings and don’t have time to make yourself a nice breakfast to fuel your day, maybe you get home late from work and don’t feel like cooking, or maybe you are rushing around all day and tend to end up at a drive thru. Schedules can be crazy, I get it; but sometimes it’s not about “Not Having Time, it’s about Making  Time. One thing that has helped me has been to set aside a few hours one day to meal prep for the week. Spend a couple hours planning out several meals for your week and cook and portion it out ahead of time. It ends up saving you so much time, and you know that everyday for the week you have a meal ready for you! Leaving yourself unprepared gives you the opportunity to make unhealthy choices when it comes to food. Don’t give yourself that opportunity. 

 

I’m challenging you to try this out at home. Take some time to plan for your week, plan some healthy meals ahead of time, portion them out, and you’re ready to go! If this completely new to you, just start small; it doesn’t have to be complicated.
