Have you tried stretching using a stick?

 

Using a stick gives you leverage to get into different position, with an increased range of motion that you wouldn't get without the stick.

 

The leverage from the stick basically "forces" you into the position you want to get, thus moving you into a better stretch.

 

You can use a broomstick or a PVC pipe to try any of the 8 movements that Libby will show you in our video:
